The Difference Between Him and Her

Girls are a complicated species. You never know what's going on in our minds because we're constantly battling some type of mind game and over-analyzing everything. If we say yes, it means no. If we say we don't want it, we actually do. We're constantly setting up men to believe this theory right about until the point when we actually say no and mean no, where by that time, we expect the men to know exactly what's going on in our heads. And when the men don't have a clue, which I assure you they never do, we get mad.

It's funny how women are usually a few steps ahead of their men, yet they still fail to realize one important thing: Men aren't mind readers.

In fact, men are just the opposite. They are VERY simple creatures. Not only are there very few things they think about often (sex, work, food, sex, sex, etc...), but they also tend to handle situations a lot more simply then the way women do. If a man couldn't find his sweater, he throws on his jacket. If a woman couldn't find her sweater, she changes her outfit. If a man had an argument with his lady friend, he thinks about it over a drink. If a woman was in the same situation, she talks about it over bottles of wine with all her girlfriends there. That's the difference between men and women. Men are simple and women are complicated.

This is one of my favorite conversations I'm forced to endure often:

Girlfriend: (angry face) I'm so mad he did that!

Me: Well.. Did you tell him why?

Girlfriend: (shocked face) NO!

Me: (confused) Why not?

Girlfriend: Well, because he should already know and if he didn't, there's no point in me telling him anyway!

I'm laughing at this absurdity even as I'm recalling this reoccurring event. In all honesty, even as a person who understands this type of situation all too well, I must admit that even I am guilty of this behavior. I think it's the nature of women. Because we understand each other so well as women, we expect men to do the same when in reality, they can't. I guess what they say is true. Men are from Mars and women are from Venus!

Keep this in mind the next time you get mad at the opposite sex.
