It's not like I don't like being a woman. On the contrary I love it! I love fashion, I love makeup, I love high heels and I love the perks that cute girls get just by smiling, pretending to play stupid, and curiously getting away with everything. Between me and my girlfriends, I can't tell you how many tickets we got out of, how many times we got in a club for free, or how many times a smile just bailed us out of trouble. You're always treated like a lady with doors being opened and jackets being given to you when you're cold. The list goes on and if you're a girl, then I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
As great as it sounds I'd still rather be a man. The main reason is because most men have the advantage of not having to worry about hindering their careers for the sake of having children. I could be wrong, but sometimes I feel as though women go to college, at least four years, to embark on a career journey that has to be eventually put on hold so that they can take time off for raising children.
I know there are many single mothers doing both at the same time, having careers while raising children. This routine I'm sure is hard and yet they make it work. However, I personally wouldn't want that kind of routine for myself. I just don't think it's possible for me to be the best mother that I could be while climbing a corporate ladder. This type of decision is something big that men don't have to think about, unless you're a stay at home dad.
Fortunately, having children and getting married isn't on my list of priorities right now because my career is paramount... I guess I was just thinking about it since I do have to consider it as a part of my long term goals. But who knows, maybe in a few years I'll feel differently. How do you feel about it?
-Cheers!
Oh.... and I forgot to mention... Men don't have monthly cycles either... thats a plus~
