Writer's Block

I hate that feeling when I sit in front of the computer, coffee beside me, pj's on, and The XX playing in the background ready to let my fingers move... but wait, they don't move. All of a sudden my mind comes to a blank. Never mind having spent the entire half of my morning thinking about so many things I could have written about. I guess it's this thing called a Writer's Block. That moment when there is no motivation for a writer to write.

But a couple years ago, I met a smart man, Professor Nolan, from Harvard University. He said something that really stuck to me after all these years. He asked, "What do writers do?" Of course the answer was, "They write!" Which is exactly the point! Writers write!

So here I am just writing anything off the top of my head. Maybe it's not meaningful and engaging to everyone, but it is an important lesson for anyone who is interested in writing or is thinking about starting something small like a blog. Don't ever feel like what you're writing is not good enough, no one is going to read it, or there's not enough to write about. Don't even allow yourself to think about having a writer's block.. period. If you are a writer, then you should write!

I hope that maybe this inspires writers and non-writers alike to pick up a pen an run with it... or in my case.. a laptop!

-Cheers :)
